Prepared by the Editors of American Herita
    ge Magazine
You are viewing this rare vintage color double-sided lithograph, promoting the "Lincoln:  Trial by Fire" segment which air
    ed
January 20, 1974 on ABC Television
    as
part of the "1973-1975 The American Heritage Specials"
presented by Texaco.  Cliff Robertson narrated this dramatization focusing on the little-known life-and-death struggle of power between President Lincoln and his
General-in-Command of the Army of the Potomac, George McClellan, and the events leading to the Emancipation Proclamation.
The photographs of Abraham Lincoln are by Mathew Brady, best-known photographer of the Ci
    vil War
.  The ruins of Richmond, Virginia were obtained from the Library of Congress.  The draft of the Emancipation Proclamation, in Lincoln's hand, was obtained from the New York State Library Collections
    in Albany, New York.
    David Lloyd Wolper, wh
ose company produced this segment in association with the Editors of American Heritage,
was an American television and film producer.  Over 50 years in show business, Wolper made in excess of 300 films which won over 150 awards
    , including Osc
ars, Emmys, Golden Globes and Peabody's.  He received the entertainment industr
y's two most prestigious honors:  The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Oscar and The
Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.  He was also inducted into the Television
Hall of Fame by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
This authentic "first-run" graphic color art lithograph was printed from the original plates in 1973.  Only the highest quality paper was used for this production.  The piece has never been matted, framed, hung nor displayed, but has been stored properly, undisturbed, since creation.
Please know that this lithograph, which you are considering, is in near mint con
dition, clean, untouched and suitable for framing.
The dimension of the lithograph is 38" x 25-1/8".
A "Letter of Provenance" signed by the owner accompanies the piece.
The lithographic workmanship in this creation is detailed and extraordinary.  This would be an exciting addition for any collector of American History.
