This is a fully handmade custom 35 pound scrapbook. It came from the estate of two amazing people who traveled the country and traveled the world. They compiled and documented everything along the way. This scrapbook contains brochures, menus, pictures, post cards, receipts, cutouts, small giveaway souvenirs, and anything they could gather to put into the scrapbook. Also, there is commentary throughout. Every page is full.
The whole scrapbook is for the year 1996 and is chronological
and it is all tabbed-indexed by the day (see picture 2).
The many dated receipts verify this. This scrapbook is a time capsule for the year and places.
Book is held together solid with 6 inch long bolts. Front an back, inside and out, covers are a clear resin over pictures on 3/8 inch plywood. The scrapbook page pictures shown are representative of all the pages in the scrapbook.
A note:
the estate left behind by this couple was amazing. They also collected wonderful items as they traveled and had everything beautifully displayed in their home. This scrapbook is a well crafted item that is indicative of what they did and who they were.
