    Description

    This colorful poster advertises Singapore as “The City of Tropical Splendour.” According to the legend at the bottom, this lovely reproduction was “First published by the Public Relations Office, Singapore, 1955, and printed by Lee Printing Co Ltd, Singapore ~ Original in the Raffles Hotel Collection.” Printed on heavy paper, it’s ready for framing.
    Note that the bottom 1 1/8” (3 cm.) was folded and has minor ink damage.
    Also, the white margin at the top was trimmed unevenly, which means that the print now measures approximately 25 ½” x 18” or roughly 65 cm x 45.7 mm.
    Imperfections, true, but they hardly take away from this charming look at a bygone era of international tourism and travel.
