    Description

    1886 Liberty Nickel, Choice Extremely Fine.  Cleaned in the long ago past, leaving the surfaces looking a little "fuzzy" or microscopically porous. Sharp detail on a good planchet, not always a given for this date.  While a low mintage issue, the Mint seems to have had problems with "QC" in 1886, possibly due to the huge numbers of Morgan Dollars they were cranking out taking up much of the pressmen's time.
